Slaves of Allah, the mercy of Allah comes before His anger or wrath. The messenger ppbu said: {Before Allah created the entire creation He wrote and said: My mercy precedes My wrath. It is written with Him over the throne}. There are so many references in the Quran and Sunnah regarding the mercy of Allah. How lucky and wonderful we ought to feel that we have such a merciful God, whose mercy precedes His anger. On the other hand, Quran and Sunnah also came with another command in order that we do not get to commit too many sins relying on the mercy of Allah. This is a matter, which is over looked by many people. It is that Allah is also tough in His punishment. Allah says: {Let it be known to you that Allah is tough in punishment and Allah is forgiving and merciful}. Allah also says: {Notify my slaves that I am the most forgiving and the most Merciful, and that my punishment is the most painful}. This talk is a reminder about the place, which contains Allah’s torture and punishment in preparation for those who deserved His anger and wrath. It is a talk about a destiny, which prevented the eyes of the righteous from going asleep. It kept their hearts weary and their minds filled with gloom. This talk is about hellfire; and what might you know about hellfire?

Slaves of Allah, hellfire may Allah protect us from, is a mighty creation of Allah. It was prepared for the disbelievers. It is the final refuge of the transgressors; and it is the punishment for those who are disobedient and defiant. It is the greater shame and the worst and clearest loss. It is evil, which contains no good what so ever. Allah says: {protect your selves against the fire, which was prepared for disbelievers}. Hellfire is already created and is prepared; and our messenger ppbu actually did get to see it. The messenger ppby said: {I’ve never seen anything like the good and the evil I got to see today. Paradise and hellfire were brought in an image and I saw them as close as I see this wall, or closer}.

Hellfire is true and is a fact. It has mountains and valleys and rivers and reefs. It has low depths and bases and it is dark and black. It is thick and dim. It has a sound which can be heard from a long distance. It has a whooping sigh. It sways like waves from side to side. Sparks fly out of it like huge buildings and castles. Gloom and sadness is permanent. People in it; scream and cry and squeal. Their hearts are filled with despair and hopelessness. Days only add to their misery. Torture and pain within it cannot be described. It has so much horror and terror that no mind can imagine. Allah threatened His angels and the prophet by its torture. The messenger ppbu used it as a threat to his companion and warned them from it.

Dear Muslims, he who fears, then let them use up the night, and this who uses his nights in worship will achieve great status with Allah. Allah says: {Each and everyone of you is approaching it. That; for certain is decreed by your Lord, then We will save the God-fearing ones}.

The messenger ppbu said: {This fire of yours, today’s fire that is lit by mankind is like one in seventy parts of hellfire}. Hellfire is fuelled with people and rocks. It never dies down or flames off. People in it are chained, dragged and beaten. Their clothes are made up of fire and they are grilled on flames. Their food and drink is more punishment that is like thorn and boiling liquids that destroy the stomach and the insides.

The messenger ppbu said: {the most pampered and comfort living person in this worldly life is brought on the day of resurrection and is dipped in hellfire one dip and is asked if he had ever seen a good day in his life. He would say: No, by Allah, never}. Just one quick dip causes a man to forget all the bliss and comfort and pleasures and delight of the first life.

As pain increases for people in hellfire they ask to be let out. They confess with their sins and ask for forgiveness. They are told be shamed in hellfire forever. Their demands are refused. Death is ordered to appear and it is slaughtered and terminated. An announcement is made to the people of paradise: there is no more death, you may live for eternity without death. Similarly, an announcement is made to the people of hellfir: stay for eternity with no death.

Dear Muslim, it is part of the perfection of Allah’s justice that He does not treat equally the obedient and the disobedient, or the good doers or the evil doers. Allah has described His punishment to us and therefor; there is no excuse for the disobedient. Reasons which lead to hillfire are: Not believing in Allah and hypocrisy. They cause one to stay in hellfire for eternity. Allah says: {Did they not know that whosoever opposes or conflicts with Allah and His messenger then will be rewarded with eternal hellfire. That is the mighty shame}.

Similar punishment befalls this who abandons prayers, and this who takes usury (Riba) and whoever unrightfully takes the money of the orphan. Allah also says: {whoever intentionally kills a believer then his punishment is to remain for eternity in hellfire; and Allah shall be angry with him, and Allah shall curse him, and tremendous torture is prepared for him}. In addition, whoever wrongly takes other people’s money or whoever commits suicide will be committed to hellfire.

Knowingly making a false oath is a reason for a dip into hellfire.

That is the reason for calling it dipping-oath (íãíäÇ ÛãæÓÇ). In addition, going along with or taking a side with transgressors is one act which cause entry to hellfire.

The messenger ppbu said: {there are two types of the people of hellfire that I didn’t get to see: men with whips like ox tails using them to lash people with, and women who are dressed but yet are naked, leaning and intentionally swaying and swinging their heads and move just as the hump of a camel moves. They do not enter paradise or even get the fragrance of paradise. Despite the fact that fragrance of paradise can be smelled from long long distances}. The messenger ppbu also said: {All you women give plenty of donations (sadaqa), and ask Allah for forgiveness frequently or plenty, for I have seen that you are the bigger number of those inhabiting hellfire}. One woman asked the messenger ppbu: how comes there are more of us amongst the people of hellfire? He said: {you do a lot of cursing and you turn your mates into disbelief}.

While those who are double-faced or hypocrites are the first who are used to heat up hellfire on the day of resurrection. So, let those be warned who let their tongs loose or write with their pens without weighing the words they say or write. The messenger ppbu said: {whosoever knowingly argues or disputes falsely will continue to remain as the target of Allah’s anger until he pulls back, and whosoever says about a believer what is not true then he is imprisoned within the slurry mud or muck of the people of hellfire; until he comes up with an exit from what he said}.

Hellfire has also been promised to this who is an alcoholic or alcohol addict. Hellfire is also promised to this that breaks off relations with blood relatives, and to this who believes in magic. And to this practices calumny or defamation to others. This who takes his brothers riches with wrongful oath and false testimony then let him book and occupy his seat in hellfire.

Dear Muslims, the messenger ppbu also saw sample images of punishment of the people of hellfire. He saw a man lying on his stomach face down and another standing beside him with a rock in his hand smashing his head. By the time he picks up the rock again, the man’s head heals, so he smashes it again and again. The messenger ppbu was told; that man used to sleep off during an imposed daily prayer. Be warned you who sleep off during Fajr prayer and only get to pray it after its proper time has elapsed.

Another man was seen lying on his back with another standing to one side of him holding pincers tearing up his cheeks and his nostrils and eyes. Then he moves to the other side and does the same with the other side, and repeats that. The messenger ppbu was told: that man used to come out of his house and says a big lie that reaches the horizons.

The messenger ppbu also saw what seemed to be like a big furnace or kiln, with many naked men and women with a lot of noise and screams, and flames coming to from beneath them. He was told: they are the adulterers.

The messenger ppbu saw a red river like blood with a man swimming in it; another man is standing on the river shore with big rocks. The swimmer opens his mouth and the man on the riverbank repeatedly puts or feeds a rock in his mouth. He was told: this man used to deal in usury or Reba.

Dear Muslims, Allah says: {This who is budged off or is shifted off hellfire and brought into paradise is the winner}. Faith and good deeds is the path for winning. The promise that Allah and His messenger have given are the true promises. For no man who has cried in fear of Allah shall enter hellfire. And there are two eyes that shall not be touched by fire: one is an eye that cried in fear of God, and the other is an eye that spent a night awake guarding for the sake of Allah.

God-fearing has a great status. Allah says: {this that fears the status of his Lord shall have two gardens}.

Gates which lead to safety are supplication (duaa), and coming to Allah for protection. The messenger ppbu said: {Anyone who asks Allah for Paradise three times, then paradise say: O Allah make him enter paradise. And anyone who asks Allah to save him from hellfire, then hellfire says: O Allah save him from me}.
